Aus UEFA Pokal wird Europa League

Der bisherige Uefa-Pokal wird von der Europäischen Fußball-Union umbenannt und heißt ab der Saison 2009/10 Europa League. Dies gab die Uefa nach einer zweitägigen Sitzung des Exekutiv-Komitees in Bordeaux bekannt. Zudem wird es ein neues Format mit einer 48 Mannschaften umfassenden Gruppenphase mit Hin- und Rückspielen geben.

Wolltes halt nur vermelden - der MSV Duisburg wird eh auf absehbare Zeit dort nicht teilnehmen.
